You can forget about electric outboard motors because hydrogen may be the next green tech for your boating needs without the burden of battery anxiety. Yamaha is one such company exploring the possibility of using hydrogen to power its outboard engine.
Yamaha will display a prototype hydrogen outboard motor at the Miami International Boat Show from February 14 to 18, 2024. At this point, there is little to no information to go around. All we have here is just a couple of renders of the prototype engine with a peek under the cowl.
