Folks, meet The Small Brown Bag. Thanks to the Kraft color, The Small Brown Bag looks like any regular old brown paper bag. So, yeah, Bottega Veneta is also trying to pull a Balenciaga here.
The resemblance with paper bags isn’t a coincidence and Bottega Veneta isn’t trying to hide that fact either because The Small Brown Bag was described as a “small paper-like leather shopping bag”. Like an actual brown paper bag, it has a single compartment but instead of paper, it is crafted from calfskin lined with suede on the inside.
If anyone’s interested, the bag measures a brown paper bag-worthy 26 m tall, 20 cm wide, and is 12.5 cm deep (10.2 x 7.9 x 4.9 inches). The handle drop is 9 cm (3.5”) which means it isn’t a shoulder bag. It is a true blue shopping bag.
