Cross collaboration between Marvel and Coca-Cola isn’t new. We have all seen Ant-Man and The Hulk’s Coca-Cola commercial. Well, now it looks like the Atlanta headquartered beverage giant and the current undisputed king of comics-to-silver screen company has come together again. This time, we hear that Coca-Cola has launched a movie tie-in campaign with the upcoming movie event of the year, Marvel’s Avengers: Endgame.
The limited design Coca-Cola Avengers: Endgame cans comprises of twelve designs, each sporting a key characters of the film and they were released into the wild starting April 1, 2019. No, this is NOT an April Fool’s Day prank. Avengers: Endgame Coca-Cola is real. In any case, why would it be a prank? Not like it is impossible for this to happen. Anywho… each design shares the same color consistent with Coke Zero’s red, white and black color scheme which blends rather seamlessly to the the beverage giant’s Coke Zero branding.
The characters included in this cross collaboration can are the usual suspects, namely, Thor, Iron Man, Ant-Man, Hawkeye (Ronin), War Machine, Black Widow, Rocket Raccoon, Nebula, Captain Marvel, and the genocidal super villain himself, Thanos. Interestingly, all the superheroes are depicted facing left, while Thanos is depicted facing right as subtle reference to the fight between good and evil. With just twelve designs, some of fan favorites are notably left out.
But hey, this is Avengers, isn’t it? And so… wait a minute there. What’s Rocket doing here then? And if Rocket’s here, why not Groot too? The duo and Thor was a team, weren’t they? I guess this is a hint of the weight of the characters in Avengers: Endgame. Now for the sad news. These Coca-Cola Limited Edition Avengers: Endgame Cans are only available in Japan. It looks like it is time to muster your contacts in Japan to do you a favor.
And you probably want to because, we heard select cinemas in Japan will be offering limited edition Coca-Cola Zero Avengers: Endgame paper cup too, presumably during when the movie hits the theaters. There’s even a sweepstakes of sort for those who purchased the Coca-Cola Limited Edition Avengers: Endgame Cans or the limited edition Coca-Cola Zero Avengers: Endgame paper cup. Prizes include Avengers: Endgame merchandises.
