Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS Electric SUV

Since becoming a sub-brand of Mercedes-Benz, Maybach never really had a model that it could call it’s own. That may change with the Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS.

The Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS will be the first fully electric Maybach series model and as the name suggests, it is based on the modular architecture for luxury- and executive-class EVs from Mercedes-Benz, the EQS SUV (not be confused with the sedan’s EQS).

While Mercedes-Benz said the Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS shown is a “near-production one-off”, it does not offer details on the drive train. But perhaps that is not quite as important because it is a Maybach, which means it is all about the luxury of luxury.

Expect to find Executive seats and luxury trim, and all manners of creature comfort in the first Maybach all-electric vehicle.

It will be a while before the Concept Mercedes-Maybach EQS Electric SUV leaves the concept image behind, though. It won’t be earlier than 2023, or late 2022 at the earliest because there’s another MB SUV based on the same platform that will go into production in 2022. Meanwhile, you can learn more about this beautiful SUV HERE.
