By now, smartwatch is a norm and so if there any that pops up the market, it will be just another, or it’d have something unique to show. The CoWatch Smartwatch belongs to the latter. For starter, if you drooled over Huawei’s, you will dig CoWatch’s look. It looks fantastic in a round, stainless steel and zirconia composite ceramic construction, but that’s, as said, its just the starter. It is the first smartphone to boasts Amazon’s cloud-based voice service, Alexa that makes it a true ‘smart’ watch. Like Apple’s Siri, Alexa enables you to speak into the watch to extract information ranging from traffic status, control connected devices, place a call and more.
Voice command alone is, without doubt, the smartest and most brilliant integration since smartwatch has relatively tiny real estate and therefore, it will be nice if one could touch less, and simply bark out our demands and expecting answers or actions. Furthermore, it is also the first smartwatch in the market to pack a whopping 8GB of onboard storage. CoWatch runs on Cronologics OS, a smartwatch-centric platform developed by Android and Google veterans and it is totally compatible with both iOS (9.0 and up) and Android 5.0 and above.
Other tech spec details include a 1.39-inch Super AMOLED display with 400 x 400 screen resolution, 1.2GHz dual core processor with 1GB RAM, a 300 mAh battery that offers up to 32 hours of use, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, IP67 water and dust resistant construction, and finally, it is packed with the usual serving of sensors, including the heart rate monitor. Want one? There’s a bit of wait here, though not as long as the Babel Fish thingy. Having said that, you can actually secure your very own under Indiegogo’s InDemand program, starting at $209. As for delivery, it will take place sometime in August 2016.
