Pascal Press Portable Coffee Press

If you are crazy about coffee, we bet you probably own at least one on-the-go coffee maker. And if you do own one, you may have noticed something peculiar about coffee that’s made with such contraptions; it tastes rather bitter. Obviously, that’s not everyone’s cuppa, though we can’t dismiss that some do have a bitter tastebud. However, if you don’t appreciate bitterness like we do, then this new kid on the block, called Pascal Press, is here to take the bitterness out of your on-the-go coffee drinking experience while maintaining a strong, smooth brew.

Pascal Press Portable Coffee Press

Pascal Press is developed by avid coffee lover Alan Kalbfleisch who had the light bulb moment when he was doing his Master in ThermoFluid engineering and while it uses the same principle as many portable coffee presses, it has a critical difference: Alan’s design keeps the grounds and coffee separated to prevent over brewing and thereby, eliminating the bitterness and it does it all in just one minute. Since Pascal Press is designed to be used on-the-go, wherever and whenever, it is also designed with ease of cleaning in mind, so you can proceed to second or even a third serving of your favorite joe in no time. Other noteworthy mentions include a 14 oz. capacity, a leak-proof lid, double wall insulation, silicone grip, and last but not the least, interchangeable filters.

Pascal Press Portable Coffee Press

Alan has taken to Kickstarter to seek coffee lovers’ approval and if you believe Pascal Press is your answer to bitter coffee, then you may want to consider joining the 200 something folks who have the same hate for bitterness. A modest $45 CAD (about US$35) will land yourself with a Pascal Press if the campaign meets its funding within the next 29 days. There’s a teeny weeny catch though; if funded, delivery will only happen in March 2017. But hey, if you really loathe bitter coffee, then this might be well worth the wait.
