Do you know what prosperity smells like? Well, some folks may know because they have gotten their hands on the prosperity fragrance from DBS Bank Singapore dubbed HUAT Eau de Parfum. Produced in limited quantities of 2,500 bottles, the Eau de Parfum is a unique fragrance that is said to embody the spirit of prosperity and is designed for DBS customers to “spritz onto your DBS QR Ang Baos for an extra dose of HUAT this Chinese New Year” said DBS on its Instagram post.
As for how it smells like, it is a scent meticulously crafted to embody the spirit of abundance and good fortune, drawing inspiration from the crisp smell of fresh banknotes, or as the founder of perfume laboratory Oo La Lab, Mr. Dan Jacobson described as “a delicate mix of effervescent aldehydes, inky paper and soft musk.”
The perfume was given away for free at Pop-up ATMs at POSB Tampines Hub and POSB Fernvale CC from February 03-08, 2024, between 12.30 PM and 1.30 PM, and 5.30 PM to 6,30 PM. It was also given away at River Hongbao (literally red packet river) at Gardens by the Bay at the QR Ang Bao Booth on February 8 and 9, 2024, from 7.30 PM to 8.30 PM.
All folks had to do was download the PayLah! app, send a minimum of S$8 eGift or QR Ang Bao to your loved ones and then present the completing screen at the respective locations to receive a free bottle of the HUAT Eau de Parfum. There was another giveaway event on the 10th, at Gardens by the Bay, btw.
As you may have already noted, the event is, unfortunately, over. But it is good to know. As for the folks who did not manage to get to have a whiff of prosperity, I guess you have to work for prosperity the good old way.
