Rejoice, DC fans. In the recent DC Fan Dome, DC dropped a bunch of teasers and trailers, including the official first look/teaser at the Black Adam, The Flash, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Shazam’s sequel, Shazam: Fury of Gods, and the 2022 Batman movie. As always, spoiler haters may want to turn around now.
TBH, only The Batman qualifies as a full-on trailer. The rest are very much behind-the-scenes/teasers which will leave fans wanting more. Before we move on to more juicy content, here is The Batman‘s trailer:
If you ask me, the most intriguing of the four teasers/trailers would be The Flash, starring Ezra Miller (Justice League). In the short teaser, the story already felt convoluted with the apparent reference to, believe it or not, Tim Burton’s Batman aka Micheal Keaton Batman.
The familiar cowl of Keaton’s Bat was seen briefly as well as a covered vehicle which appears to be the iconic 1989 Batmobile. Now, I am intrigued! And here’s the first look video:
As for Aquaman’s sequel, it is the rudimentary behind-the-scene/teaser clip, revealing the superhero’s new getup and some beautiful concept art of the new locations.
Meanwhile, the Rock aka Dwayne Johnson took to the stage – so to speak – to introduce Black Adam which plays the title character and also serves as one of the producers of the movie. The clip also introduces us to the key cast members of the movie, along with a sneak peek of the scene when Black Adam was first found.
Black Adam isn’t the only DC project for Johnson, btw. The man also voices for an upcoming superhero, well, superpet animated film called DC League of Super-Pets. In the animated film, Dwayne Johnson voices Superman’s dog Krypto while his pal, Kevin Hart, lends his voice to Batman’s fido Ace the Bat Hound. Here’s the teaser:
Finally, Shazam’s sequel is pretty much a short behind-the-scene look that also revealed Hellen Mirren and Lucy Liu as the villainous gods.
Also revealed was a couple of video games and TV series news. Speaking of TV series… an official teaser of Peacemaker was also revealed. Dwayne Johnson’s former fellow wrestling superstar John Cena who played Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad (2021) is reprising his role in an enormous TV series on HBO Max. Here’s the trailer:
