If this new the Defo-Real Godzilla (1984) figure looks familiar to you, that is because it is in fact a reboot of 2018 figure, but this time, this little fellow is rocking a super cool light up function.
For those aren’t familiar, Defo-Real is a series of chibi-styled, non-articulated figure developed by X-Plus. As you may have already noticed, Defo-Real Godzilla (1984) may be small, but it is mighty in details. Just look at the realistically expressed tail, dorsal fin, and good god, check out those teeth!
This Defo-Real Godzilla (1984) Light Up Version figure was based on the scene from 1984’s The Return of Godzilla where Gojira attacked a nuclear power plant and picking up a nuclear reactor to take in the radiation.
The light up function can be found on the dorsal fin and the reactor. Considering the size of this figure (about 13 cm or 5.12 inches), the light up dorsal fin is pretty impressive.
I am not into chibi-style figure, but man, this piece is hard to ignore. It is kawaii and fearsome at the same time. Kind of reminds me of a chihuahua. Small but ferocious.
