Space nuts are going to dig what LEGO Ideas member Jeno1 have created. The LEGO enthusiast with a passion for NASA and all-thing space vehicles has proposed the idea of a Airstream NASA Astrovan.
This particular vehicle was a modified 1983 Airstream Excella motorhome which has been in use since the STS-9 mission in 1983.
It was the vehicle used at the Kennedy Space Center to transport astronauts to the launch pad prior to a launch mission. The vehicle was also a mode of transportation to bring the crew back to Operations and Checkout Building after a Shuttle has landed.
This awesome build reminds us of Lia Chan’s mind-blowing LEGO MOC Kennedy Space Center Launch Complex 39A. If only Chan’s set is an official set… if only… But seriously, both Jeno1 and Chan should come together to get a photo shoot done. That will be awesome, innit?
Anywho… Airstream NASA Astrovan is must have for any space enthusiast. But first, space nerds will have do their part and give this dude your one precious support on LEGO Ideas.
Jeno1’s Airstream NASA Astrovan has gotten 3,500+ support so far. It will need to get to the next milestone of 5,000 support to get a date extension where it can then strive to hit the 10,000 milestone for it be consider as the next official LEGO Ideas product.
