You heard it is coming and now, we have official words on the LEGO x Levi’s collection. Everything we written previously was true, including the silicone base plate that will appear in the collection. However, what we wasn’t really clear was what products are involved.
The LEGO x Levi’s collection is actually divided into two major categories: customizable fun products and strictly co-branded products.
Customizable fun products features the first-ever flexible LEGO baseplate made of pliable LEGO silicone panel, sewn on to the garment. The baseplate works with LEGO DOTS, a new concept introduced earlier this year, to create your own mosaic-like design.
Meanwhile, the co-branded products are fashion pieces that boasts unique co-branded graphics. Products that will sport the baseplate include stonewash Levi’s Trucker Jacket, a Dad Crop Trucker Jacket, 501 ’93 Straight Jeans as well as a lineup of hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts, and accessories.
Interestingly, the leather patch found on the 501 ’93 has been swapped out in favor of a flexible red LEGO patch which still bears the usual information. Now, that my friends, is pretty darn cool!
The customizable pieces from the collection will come with a Levi’s and LEGO Group branded bag of 110 LEGO DOTS for you to get creative right out of the packaging.
While we did get the official words today, details regarding the available of the collection and the price range are not yet disclosed. However, you can sign up for LEGO newsletter to be informed of the availability.
