For a 500-dollar set, the LEGO Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition (76405) could have used a little longer Platform 9¾. The Display Case for LEGO Hogwarts Express Collectors’ Edition (76405) not only keeps dust off the train inside the crystal clear Perspex case but the display case with a background design option completes the magic by adding a high-resolution printed vinyl background of the magical platform of the King’s Cross Station.
Even better is that it is not just a highly-detailed print of the platform; it has the platform transitioned into the magical, alternate dimension of Scotland where Hogwarts is located – complete with the magical special effect – printed, of course.
You can choose to integrate the brick-built Platform 9¾ with the background, behind the train, or place it in front of the train for even more depth and dimension. In addition to the obvious, the display also includes 2x studs to hold the train tracks and train in place, and a studded, angled stand to showcase the train ticket. Completing the look is a custom-made plaque detailing the set number and LEGO piece count.
The display case is made with 3 mm crystal clear Perspex (acrylic) and has a 5 mm black gloss Perspex for the base plate add-on, secured to the 5 mm base with high-strength magnets.
