Power outage sucks, and so does going off the grid with a bunch of electronic devices. The solution is, of course, siphoning off your already-poor EV range—or you could buy the DJI Power 2000 Portable Power Station. Joining the Power 1000 and Power 500 that debuted last year, the Power 2000 is designed for power-hungry users, equipped with a 2,048 Wh battery and a remarkably high 3,000 W output. If that’s not enough, it’s expandable up to 22,528 Wh.
Similarly remarkable is the recharging speed. It charges from 0–80% in just 55 minutes. A full charge takes only 90 minutes. And if speed isn’t a priority, this big guy can also be recharged with solar panels. DJI uses a LiFePO4 (LFP) battery for the Power 2000, good for over 4,000 charge cycles.
For the noise-sensitive, you’ll be glad to know that it doesn’t make a ding; it has ultra-quiet operation at around 30 dB. That is a whisper-quiet kind of noise level. The Power 2000 is aimed at power-hungry creators, campers, and anyone needing serious off-grid juice. It’s also great for emergencies like outages. That said, it offers a UPS mode with 0.01s switch-over, ensuring your critical devices stay powered when the grid goes down.
The device offers a wide variety of ports and connectivity, including four standard AC outlets, one high-current 30A outlet, two 140 W USB-C ports, two 65 W USB-C ports, four 24 W USB-A ports, and two proprietary DJI drone charging ports. It’s app-enabled too, letting you monitor and manage the station via the DJI Home app.
Other notables include a flame-retardant housing, 26 temperature sensors, and a rain- and salt-spray-resistant internal design.
