Highly rated firefighting simulation video game on Steam, Firefighting Simulator – The Squad, is heading to consoles. Developed by Chronos Unterhaultungssoftware and published by astragon Entertainment, Firefighting Simulator – The Squad will be available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
The digital release is planned for December 06, 2022, with pre-orders happening now in the respective stores. The game is pretty much self-explanatory but here’s what the game is about anyways:
“In exciting missions, the team members will proceed to action with authentic firefighter equipment and a selection of 5 officially licensed firefighting vehicles by Rosenbauer America – such as the TP3 Pumper® and the T-Rex® Articulating Platform – to extinguish fires and save people from the flames. While single players take control of their AI-controlled colleagues with the help of the intuitive command interface in order to give them instructions on how to proceed, in cooperative multiplayer mode up to four players can take action together as a team to prove their team spirit and skills in the field of firefighting. Thanks to the advanced fire simulation – including water, smoke, heat, backdrafts, flashovers, grease fires as well as a number of other causes of fire such as electronics, chemicals and explosions – the firefighter team will have to face hard to calculate fire situations and dangers. Next to this, players can look forward to a complex physics system for the representation of destruction within dynamically spreading fire situations.”
In addition to officially licensed firefighting vehicles by Rosenbauer America, the game’s realism is taken to the next level with advanced fire simulation and physics system, and authentic firefighter equipment by well-known manufacturers, including Cairns®, MSA G1® SCBA, Leatherhead Tools®, and HAIX®.
Expect to be immersed in the whole firefighting business, starting with comprehensive training which introduces you to the basics of firefighting. It is worth noting that PlayStation 5 version offers advanced DualSense Features, such as dynamic adaptive triggers or haptic feedback.
The Firefighting Simulator – The Squad for Consoles will sell for US$29.99 when it becomes available on December 06, 2022. That’s for the digital version. If you prefer a boxed version as I do, it will only hit the stores early next year. Meanwhile, you learn more about the game on PlayStation and Xbox stores.
