We saw this super cool accessory for Apple AirPods a couple of weeks ago but somehow it slipped our mind. Now that we remembered it, it is, ermmm, gone? I am not sure why. The product, the G-CUBE: AirPods Pro Luminous Armor Storage Case was on Indiegogo, but somehow it did not get enough traction despite how cool it is. The Indiegogo campaign is not marked “Ended” but as “Closed”.
Anyhoo, even then I feel like we should be sharing this because the concept is super cool. The G-CUBE: AirPods Pro Luminous Armor Storage Case is not your typical AirPods case which is really a cover that can open with the flip top to access the buds.
G-CUBE is literally a case. Like, as in a cage. It cages the AirPods charging case inside, protecting it while sprucing up the look.
It consists of two components that magnetically snap together around your AirPods forming a cage-like protection while bumping up the eye-candy factor via a luminous ring on its inner frame. the glow in the dark features plus the geometric case gave the AirPods a cyberpunk vibe.
The case comes with a lanyard for looping and a lanyard or wristlet for wearing around your neck or wrist. Accessing the AirPods would be unsnapping the frames which can be counterintuitive but goddamn it, this thing really boosts the look of the dental floss case, sorry, I mean AirPods by miles.
The G-CUBE: AirPods Pro Luminous Armor Storage Case is also a refreshing change to the horde of adorable cases available in the market. It is unfortunate that it did not make it for whatever reasons.
