Toymaker ThreeZero has revealed that Arcee will be joining the brand’s Transformers Bumblebee Movie DLX Collectible Figure. The figure is based on the Autobot’s extremely brief appearance in Travis Knight’s 2018 Bumblebee movie. Not a lot is known about this poseable figure at this point except that stands 8 inches (20.32 cm) tall and has 60 points of articulation.
Arcee will join the faction-mates Optimus Prime and Bumblebee, as well as villains, Soundwave, and Blitzwing in the series. Exactly when and for much are yet to be announced.
I think ThreeZero is a little too ambitious. It has over 20 properties in its portfolio – which is still growing, btw, and TBH, it’d be hard for it to cover all the characters in each property.
Take for example Transformers. Threezero had a few movies and a series covered but it can only yield one or a few characters from each movie or series. So it’d be hardpressed for serious collectors to see the day they will see Threezero have all their favorite characters covered.
Seriously, even if they eventually will cover it all, you’d be at single digit age now to be able to live to see it happening. At this point, the way to collect all is the mainline toys from Hasbro and Takara Tomy or even third-party toymakers.
I’d say Threezero is good for casual collectors or for series in which there are not many key characters like Stranger Things or Chainsaw Man.
The Transformers franchise has way too many fan favorites which is no surprise since the franchise is almost 40 years now and has never stopped pushing out cartoons and movies.
