Garmin Instinct Crossover Rugged Hybrid Smartwatch

If you appreciate a classic analog watch experience but also love the convenience of modern smartwatches, and the peace of mind of a rugged watch, then the Garmin Instinct Crossover Rugged Hybrid Smartwatch is for you.

Garmin Instinct Crossover Rugged Hybrid Smartwatch

As you may have already guessed, the Garmin Instinct Crossover is a smartwatch that has an analog time-keeping function. It features regular hour and minute hands, and physical indices treated with Super-LumiNova coating for low-light legibility.

Though this isn’t the first time Garmin puts analog hands on a smartwatch, it is the first to rock analog hands overlayed on a high-resolution digital display that will quickly move out of the way to the horizontal position when users need to access the smart feature data.

As a smartwatch, it offers 24/7 health monitoring and activity tracking on the easy-to-read digital display, along with notifications from the connected smartphone, payment with Garmin Pay contactless payments, and more.

This being a Garmin wearable, GPS is one of its strongest suits. The Instinct Crossover provides GPS tracking, Multi-GNSS support, ABC sensors, TracBack routing, which helps users navigate the same route back to their starting point, and Reference Point, which helps users keep track of a known place relative to their location.

Finally, this hybrid smart timepiece is rugged too. It is thermal and shock resistant, built to MIL-STD-810, water-rated to 10 ATM, and features the new RenoDrive analog hand technology that ensures precise timing through autocalibration in the event the watch suffers a significant impact during an adventure or training

There’s a Tactical Edition too which has everything the regular Instinct Crossover has with the addition of dedicated tactical-oriented features like night vision compatibility, stealth mode, dual-format GPS, a kill switch, and more.

The smartwatch is further available in Solar or without. The Solar Edition offers infinite battery life when in battery saver mode (read: basic watch function). When using the advanced connected feature, the Solar Edition (read: smartwatch mode) provides up to 70 days of battery life. The battery life is bonkers, in a good way, though.

The Garmin Instinct Crossover Rugged Hybrid Smartwatch is available now with a starting price of US$499.99.
