Never mind that “shooting brake” is a gloried station wagon because, the Genesis G70 Shooting Brake IS absolutely stunning. Based on the G70 sedan, the shooting brake variant is designed with EU customers in mind and while the physical size is identical to the sedan, it has 40 percent more luggage space – thanks to the split-fold rear seats.
Key design features include quad lamps, single-piece glass hatch that extends the rear, and floating integral spoiler. The overall look is without doubt sporty (thanks in part to the steeply raked profile and the slightly bulging wheel arches).
However, it is not clear what goes under the hood. My best educated guess would be, the 3.3L V6 T-GDi as the range-topping option with 370 horses on the tap and 510 Nm of torque. I could be wrong.
The Genesis G70 Shooting Brake is the luxury marque’s fifth car in Europe which will go on sale in EU this summer. Pricing is, however, not known. With the emphasis on Europe for this particular model, it seems it is unlikely to be available across the pond. Hopefully we are on this.
