If you haven’t already heard, Godzilla has revisited the Marvel Universe in a new comic book series, Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe. The last time the radioactive reptile messed with the balance of the Marvel Universe was in 77-79, in a 24-issue series. In 2025, the King of Monsters is possibly everyone’s worst nightmare. It is blessed with some serious buffs, including Stark’s technology, to become the Marvel superheroes’ worst foe ever. Hell, even the supervillains will want to stay clear of this towering, raging, radioactive beast.

Nobody was ready for Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe, least of all Tony Stark—who probably short-circuited his own suit when he saw a 300-foot kaiju stomping through Manhattan in full Iron Man-style armor. Imagine this: Godzilla, decked out in red-and-gold plating, arc reactor glowing like a nuclear heart, tail thrusters firing off like Stark’s Friday-night fireworks. The Avengers assembled… and immediately disassembled. Hulk tried to punch him, bounced off like a stress ball. Thor threw Mjolnir, and Godzilla ate it.
The real chaos? Watching Spider-Man try to web-sling onto a creature whose shoulder alone was the size of the Chrysler Building. Meanwhile, Doctor Strange opened a portal to escape, but Godzilla just peeked through and roasted Kamar-Taj for dessert. It wasn’t just destruction—it was designer destruction. Godzilla didn’t just wreck the Marvel Universe. He did it with Stark-level swagger, like he’d been binge-watching MCU movies and thought, “I could do that. But bigger.” By the time he blasted the Baxter Building with a repulsor tail beam, even Galactus was like, “Nah, I’m good.”
The all-new Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe is now available from Marvel Unlimited. Obviously, you will need to be subscribed to be able to read it.
