Beverage maker and vending operator Cheerio Japan Co., Ltd., has announced the release of a special concoction of energy drink, aptly called Godzilla Energy.

The drink contains guarana and maca extract, 630 mg arginine and 210 mg of caffeine per 500 ml can. The amount of arginine and caffeine per can is one of the highest in the energy drink market. Not sure if that’s a good thing. One thing for sure is, it does not contain any form radioactive material as one may have expected with “Godzilla energy drink.”

Cheerio has paid quite some attention to the design of the drink’s color and packaging. The former is purple, which the company said is inspired by Godzilla “emission color”.

This color actually changes, if ever so subtly, depending on the viewing angle. Cheerio recommends that you pour the drink into a glass in order to enjoy the special color.

But the real highlight, IMHO, is the package design which features the King of the Monsters in its purple glow and a neon style Energy logo design. I believe that image is based on Shin Godzilla and not the latest movie. I could be wrong, though.
