amidst the buzz surrounding the newly announced Nexus 7 Tablet, there is actually one device being overlooked. and it really shouldn’t be cos’ the Nexus Q, as it is called, is Google’s answer to Apple TV. billed as a social streaming media player, the Nexus Q let you streams your entertainment directly from the cloud to your living room, aided by services like Google Play and YouTube apps on your Android phone or tablet. under the hood, it packs a dual ARM Cortex-A9 processor, 16GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, WiFi (b/g/n) and Bluetooth connectivity, NFC, micro HDMI, optical out, Ethernet port, micro USB (for service and support), and a 25W audiophile-grade amplifier with Banana jacks output. all these wrapped within a beautiful orb-like body, powered by Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and boasting a top dome that rotates for volume control and capacitive touch sensor for mute on/off. this is the best looking streaming media player we have seen and spherical shape form? it is simply awesome. well, at least it is a good break from those little boxes we have seen so far. the Google Nexus Q will ship soon with a sticker of $299 a pop.
