We usually do pop culture stuff when it comes to movies. You know, stuff like Star Wars, Star Trek and whatnot. Notwithstanding that, we thought this new independent film starring Daniel Radcliffe deserves our attention.
The flick is from Australia’s independent film distributor Madman Films called Guns Akimbo. It may be a movie worthy of your attention too. Well, that’s if you are not squeamish type because, we heard violence is a staple of the film.
Here’s the official description:
“Nerdy video game developer (Daniel Radcliffe) is a little too fond of stirring things up on the internet with his caustic, prodding, and antagonizing comments. One night, he makes the mistake of drunkenly dropping an inflammatory barb on a broadcast of Skizm, an illegal death-match fight club streamed live to the public. In response, Riktor (Ned Dennehy), the maniacal mastermind behind the channel, decides to force Miles’ hand (or hands, as it were) and have him join the “fun.” Miles wakes to find heavy pistols bolted into his bones, and learns Nix (Samara Weaving), the trigger-happy star of Skizm, is his first opponent.”
I know right? It looks like fun and dark at the same time. If you need any prove that it is going to to be so, just have a look at the official trailer embedded below.
The flick sure feels like what happens if Quentin Tarantino directed Scott Pilgrim vs. the World. Guns Akimbo opens at theaters in stateside on February 28, 2020.
