It has been over 10 years since the first HiRise for MacBook by Twelve South debuted. Not only is it still being sold, but it has also just gotten an update. Folks, meet the HiRise Pro for MacBook, the first height-adjustable, MagSafe-compatible MacBook stand.
In addition to adding 2.5 to 6 inches (6.35 to 15.24 cm) of height for a more ergonomic desk setup and placing the webcam at a height where it is more appropriate for video calls, the new HiRise Pro for MacBook boasts a built-in housing for a MagSafe Charger (not included) to the base, so you can make use of the otherwise unused real estate below the stand to charge compatible iPhone or AirPods too.
The stand fits all laptops and Macbooks from 11-inch Air to 16-inch Pro and features a beautiful metal and vegan leather-trimmed construction. Unfortunately, though, the angle at which the laptop sits is still not adjustable. Then again, if you use this stand, you are probably not going to type using the built-in keyboard.
The new HiRise for MacBook can be had now for US$99.99. Sure, there are cheaper options out there but being a user of Twelve South products from the backpack for iMac to laptop stands, I can tell you the quality is unbeatable. In fact, I have been using this current laptop stand (can’t remember the model) for many years now. Anyhoo, it’s your money and your choice. Also, we are not affiliated.
