Hublot Oceanographic 4000 King Gold White | US$tba | www.hublot.com
if you are going to dive deep into the ocean (like, very, very deep), then i suppose it won’t hurt to do it in absolute style. you can start by strapping on the Hublot Oceanographic 4000 King Gold White on your next 4,000 meters adventure. yes. you do remember that the Oceanographic 4000 is totally capable of withstanding that kind of depth, don’t you? the styling of the former versions bear the unmistakable dive-look but the King Gold White here is more like something James Bond would wear along with a white tux (ok, we know Bond never wear white but we are just saying…). it sports a case made from what Hublot dubbed as King Gold which comprises of 18K gold with 5% platinum, giving it the “intense red color, matched with white rubber “Town” strap or white rubber with white Nomex “Diver” strap. the latter is longer to accommodate wearing the watch over a diving suit up to 8mm thick.
cosmetic aside, this piece of luxury dive watch embodies the same qualities of the original Oceanographic 4000 which includes 400 ATM or 4,000 meters water resistance, large 48mm case, HUB1401 mechanical movement with automatic winding, tongue and buckle closing system, and a mind-boggling 6.5 mm thick synthetic sapphire crystal to counter the extreme pressure it is going to undertake. other unique features of this limited edition watch includes white composite resin lug bezel and lateral inserts, titanium crown with white rubber insert, matt white dial face, satin-finished appliques with white SuperLuminova, micro-blasted satin finished hands with SuperLuminova, and a closing system in matching King Gold 18K. only 100 of such fine example will be made available and as for the price, it is a mystery to us. honestly, we won’t want to know either.
