Want to see something disturbing? If you donāt, now is a good time to leave. But if you do, keep on reading but make sure you arenāt the squeamish kind. Now that we have gotten the warning out of the way… do you remember doooo? Aka MOTHER FACTORY, a human flesh art brand behind the hyperrealistic mouth coin purse and the human meat die with an animatronic eye. Well, a couple of months ago, it collaborated with German beer JƤgermeister (itās an herbal liquor, for those who donāt know) in Japan for a JƤgermeister dispenser called, wait for itā¦ The Human Flesh Tap Machine.
It is not an actual product you buy, by the way. The Human Flesh Tap Machine was, I believe, created as part of the marketing campaign in Japan. It is definitely not for the faint of the heart. It is a cube-like machine wrapped in flesh-like skin that has a less-than-perfect straightness, bringing out the organic nature of the machine.
It is cool and all, and not quite disturbing until you realize that the tap handle is modeled after a humanās calf with a heel but without the foot, and the tap is actually a mouth. If that is not disturbing enough both the calf and the sides of the machine are debossed with the āJƤgermeisterā branding, complete with a reddish skin tone surrounding the words that make the branding look like it has been hot pressed into the skin. Yikes.
Rounding up the design is an alien-like skin-textured tail (yes, a tail!) which you can install on the back to hide the back panel and cable mess – if you so choose to.
The JƤgermeister x MOTHER FACTORY The Human Flesh Tap Machine was the star of a marketing campaignās short film dubbed āAWAKENINGā directed by Anthony Yano Hays of Tokyo-based creative production company NAKAMA.
