The most featured and consistent character throughout the entire Jurassic franchise finally gets his well-deserved recognition in Mattel’s Hammond Collection. It is long overdue if you ask me. This man practically created the chaos that enabled the entire franchise and yet, he had not been an action figure until now. No. LEGO minifigure does not count.
Anyhoo, Mattel is continuing with its celebration of Jurassic Park’s 30th anniversary with Dr. Wu and Mr. DNA action figures – both first-time characters from the Hammond Collection. The Jurassic World Hammond Collection Lab Tour Dr. Henry Wu is every Jurassic Park/World fan’s wet dream.
Dr. Henry Wu’s action figure is presented with packaging featuring lab doors that open up to the InGen lab, where you will find the Doc and the anthropomorphic double helix, Mr. DNA, along with film details like a DINO DNA genetic board, an egg incubator, and other testing equipment.
It comes with a bunch of accessories, including science-sy stuff like a lab clipboard, and a pencil, plus a raptor hatchling, and swappable hands for Dr. Henry Wu.
But I think the coolest part has to be the lab lights that flicker and Mr. DNA speaks with 4 button-activated phrases, triggered through a button on the packaging. This means you can leave the figures in the packaging and still admire the awesomeness of the set if you so choose to.
