Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Ice Cream

Do you know that July 14 was National Macaroni & Cheese Day? (Yes, it is a thing). And do you know that Kraft had, on this day, teamed up with Brooklyn-based Van Leeuwen Ice Cream to sell, wait for it… Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Ice Cream?

That’s right. Macaroni and cheese ice cream is a thing, or was a thing. It was sold at Van Leeuwen scoop shops and online starting July 14, but obviously, it has been snapped up. In fact, it was said that it was sold out in a matter of hours.

For this unique flavor of cold treat, Kraft looked to the craft ice cream maker to turn the brand’s comfort food into an ice cream with no artificial flavors, preservatives, or dyes.

I am no fan of macaroni and cheese, and so I have no desire for an ice cream that is touting this so-called comfort food flavor. Saltish, I am guessing it tasted like. Might as well have a caramel ice cream if that’s the case. Just saying.

Like I have said, it is sold out by now. But fret not, it looks like Van Leeuwen is working to bring it back. So, if you really want to have a taste of it, be sure to get yourself signed up with Van Leeuwen to be notified when it’s available for purchase.

Or you could just shove your Mac & Cheese into the freezer and then eat it cold. Just kidding. Don’t do that.

Anyhoo, Kraft Macaroni & Cheese Ice Cream is not the weirdest cold diary treat were have seen. I mean, in the presence of Mayonnaise Ice Cream, the Mustard Ice Cream and Fried Chicken-flavored Ice Cream, Mac & Cheese icy treat is all but child’s play.
