Yes. I am infuriated by the fact that there is going to be another LEGO UCS Batmobile Tumbler and it appears to be better, more movie-accurate than the one I spent my life-saving on 7 years ago. LEGO 76240 Batmobile Tumbler is NOT a reissue of the 2014 set, btw. I believe LEGO never does reissue anyways.

The LEGO 76240 Batmobile Tumbler is an updated version that packs 2,049 pieces as opposed to 2014’s 1,869 pieces. I didn’t scrutinize the difference, but right off the bat, I noted quite a number of visual differences.

For starter, I can see that the quad rear wheels are now more movie-accurate with off-road rubber tires. I also noted that the sides and the front have received quite significant design tweaks too. The front on the new LEGO Tumbler is definitely more movie-accurate with a transparent element with jagged details as opposed to a stack of LEGO Slope elements.

However, I can’t say the same for the sides. The new set appears to do away with the curved slope pieces and therefore missing the bulge as a Tumbler should have. Odd. I guess if I acquire this set, I could custom add it myself?

Finally, it now appears to be a rotating base like the LEGO 76139 1989 Batmobile has. I am sure there are more changes since it does have 180 pieces difference between the old and new.

When the rumor surface about this set, I was skeptical that it is even true. I was thinking even if it is true, I would probably give it a pass since I already had one set. But now that I learned about the tweaks, I am completely sold.

Anywho, the new LEGO 76240 Batmobile Tumbler has not officially been announced. However, it is now kind of unofficially revealed with a listing on Amazon Japan for 25,330 yen (or about US$230), with a release expected to happen on November 01, 2021.
