I am not much a fan of LEGO Superheroes series, but I have say that this LEGO 77902 Captain Marvel and the Asis kind of had me. The 271-piece set is a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive that features the minifigure of the most powerful superhero in Marvel’s Universe, along with her air/spacecraft Asis. We love how the set comes with so much details, in spite it being a fairly small set and also, the aircraft gets a stand. A stand! Imagine that! A 271-piece set with a vehicle that comes with a stand. I don’t believe I have ever see that previously.

Also included in the set is a minifigure of her best friend/comrade Monica Rambeau, as well as Goose, the alien Flerken that looks just Earth’s cats, displaying her fearsome tentacles and fangs bursting out of her mouth. What strikes me most about this set is the packaging. The graphics on the box is what really had me at hello. Especially the front where it had the image of LEGO Captain Marvel against a redden sky with the Asis zooming across. Seriously, I just can’t stop marveling at the image.

LEGO 77902 Captain Marvel and the Asis will sell at the convention for $45, but you ought know that it is not queue-for-it set. You have to enter a “Submission of Interest” form on the San Diego Comic-Con Online Exclusives Portal and keep your fingers crossed that you will win a chance to buy the set. We do know not if this set will be hot or not, but I most certain that profiteers will be swooping in to grab the set and sell it on eBay for many times more.

Anywho… do take note that the submission period will start last week of June, so if you are interested, do make sure to keep your eyes peeled on SDCC official website. Obviously, you will have to an attendee to the convention to qualify. Like, duh.
