LEGO construction in LEGO video games is not new but so far, it only involves holding down a button and seeing the bricks automatically click together. But that’s not going to be the case with this upcoming LEGO video game called LEGO Bricktales from game publisher Thunderful Games and video game developer ClockStone Studio, the developer behind the Bridge Constructor series.
In addition to solving puzzles which is a staple in LEGO video games, LEGO Bricktales is a digital adventure that requires you to build things piece-by-piece much like you would in a LEGO Digital Designer. The best part is that you won’t necessarily get it right the first time. You gotta build it and test it to see if your build works. Then only it can be implemented into the scenario.
“In LEGO Bricktales, journey across 5 different LEGO themed biomes and use an intuitive new brick-by-brick building mechanic to solve puzzles and bring your solutions to life. From purely aesthetic creations, such as market stands and music boxes, up to functional physics-based puzzles like building cranes and gyrocopters, LEGO Bricktales offers a host of challenges and quests to test your imagination and building skills.”
It is a super cool concept that will surely thrill true LEGO fans. It will be a test of your creativity with LEGO bricks, albeit in a virtual environment. Skip ahead for the announcement trailer, or hit up Thunderful Games website, or LEGO Bricktales on Steam for more information.
