Land Rover is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year with the LEGO Icons Classic Land Rover Defender 90 set. Based on the original 1983 model, the LEGO Icons Classic Land Rover Defender 90 (10317) is a faithful brick-built replica packing a cool 2,336 pieces.
The LEGO Icons Classic Land Rover Defender 90 (10317) is presented in the iconic Defender 90 sand green with a white roof, a brown interior, and black wheel trims. It boasts functional steering, working suspension (with impressive travel if we may add), and doors and a hood that opens.
In addition, you will have a choice of 2 engines (diesel or petrol), 3 different hood options, and the choice of left or right-hand drive.
The beauty of this set is that you can choose to build it as an everyday Land Rover Estate or outfitted it with a myriad of off-road accessories like a roll cage, fire extinguisher, roof rack, an engine snorkel, traction plates, Jerry cans, toolbox, working winch, and mudguards, for off-road adventures.
When completed, the model measures over 6 in. (16 cm) high, 12.5 in. (32 cm) long, and 6 in. (16 cm) wide which is fairly compact given the piece count. This means this model has an incredible amount of detail. It even has a coffee cup for the driver!
The LEGO Icons Classic Land Rover Defender 90 (10317) will drop on April 04, 2023, for US$239.99. LEGO VIP will have early access on April 01, 2023.
