theoffice_lego’s proposed LEGO Ideas The Office – NBC Set may not have gotten LEGO’s approval but another set by another LEGO Ideas submission designer, Jaijaj Lewis aka LEGO The Office has made it with his version. In fact, it took Lewis a couple of tries.
Prior to this approved set, Lewis had submitted two other iterations – both of which reached 10,000 supports. Long story short, this last model made it and it will soon be available to buy.
The LEGO Ideas The Office (21336) will soon join the other LEGO sitcom-based sets like LEGO Friends’ Central Perk and The Friends Apartments, and the Seinfeld apartment set.
For this particular set, it is based on the first seven seasons with Michael Scott as the “World’s Best Boss” before the character left Dunder Mifflin Paper Company.
The 1,164-piece set lets you build familiar areas of Dunder Mifflin’s Scranton office with LEGO bricks, including Michael Scott’s office which itself can slide out to be displayed on its own, the conference room, and more.
The set is a Minifigure galore too. It comes with no less than 15 LEGO minifigures, featuring Michael Scott, Dwight Schrute, Jim Halpert, Pam Beesly, Ryan Howard, Angela Martin, Oscar Martinez, Kevin Malone, Stanley Hudson, Kelly Kapoor, Phyllis Lapin Vance, Meredith Palmer, Creed Bratton, Toby Flenderson, and Darryl Philbin. 12 of the minifigures have 2 facial expressions, so you can play out the different emotions for different scenes. Also included is a LEGO figure of Angela’s cat, Garbage.
Expect to find a bunch of accessories that will sure to remind you of those hilarious moments, including a stapler in gelatin, Golden Ticket, Dundie trophy, and of course, ‘World’s Best Boss’ mug.
When completed, the set measures over 3 inches tall, 12 inches wide, and 10 inches deep (7 x 30 x 25 cm).
