Superfans of Star Wars who are thinking of upgrading their TV may want to look at the LG OLED Evo C2 65-inch Star Wars Special Edition TV. Featuring a Star Wars-inspired aesthetic, user interface, and packaging, along with a gallery of Star Wars content, the LG OLED Evo C2 65-inch Star Wars Special Edition TV will be a delight to fans.
Clearly, there is not much you can do aesthetically because nearly all of the front is taken up by a slab of glass. However, design elements like vertical stripes and color buttons that can be found on Darth Vader’s costume and throughout Death Star can be found decorating the rear of the TV, along with the Imperial emblem.
And then there’s the Star Wars-themed remote which, IMHO, could have been a Lightsaber. It is a missed opportunity. But then again, it would drive up the cost, and admittedly, not the most practical form.
In lieu of the lack of Star Wars aesthetic over at the front, it has a user interface designed to reflect a Lightsaber theme and comes with a gallery of unique Star Wars visuals preinstalled. And then there’s the infamous Darth Vader breathing which can be heard whenever the TV is powered on. Sweet.
Most people will send the TV packaging to recycling but you probably do not want to ditch the box because this TV comes with super cool Star Wars-branded packaging, featuring the Sith Lord.
The LG OLED Evo C2 65-inch Star Wars Special Edition TV is available now from LG.com for US$2,999.99.
Last checked, it is still available but you may want to act on it fast because, in a nod to the franchise’s popular 501st Legion of clone troopers, only 501 units are available in the U.S. and German markets.
