We did not tell you about the new Xiaomi mid-range, Xiaomi Civi 3. Now we have to because Xiaomi has just revealed a special edition unit that will set the hearts of Disney fans fluttering: the Limited Edition Xiaomi Civi 3 Disney 100th Anniversary.
The special edition Civi 3 is Mickey Mouse-themed featuring a glass back in red with the image of Mickey Mouse and a Disney 100 celebratory logo. The red phone is accented with a gold aluminum frame and gold camera module trim.
The “dot” on the unique “ring” flash of the Civi 3 is also treated to a matching red accent. The same red accent can also be found on the power button too. It is a simple yet super cool homage to the Mouse.
The Mouse treatment extends to the software, including a Mickey Mouse-themed UI, charging animation, always-on-display clock, wallpaper, as well as Disney-themed filters, stickers, frames, and more.
As always, it comes with special packaging, featuring the Mickey Mouse Club logo against the background of the past logos, and it comes with a sticker sheet, a Mickey Mouse SIM ejector, a Disney 100 Micke Mouse phone case, and an authenticity certificate with the serial number of the particular device.
Beyond the cosmetics, the specs are the same as the standard edition Civi 3, which include a 4 nm process MediaTek Dimensity 8200 Ultra SoC, a 120 Hz 6.55-inch AMOLED display with Dolby Vision and HDR10+, Corning Gorilla Glass 5, a triple camera system (50 MP main with PDAF and OIS + 8 MP ultrawide + 2 MP macro), quad-LED dual-tone flash, a dual selfie camera (32 MP wide and 32 MP ultrawide) with 2 dual-LED dual-tone flashes (yes, front-facing flash!), under-display fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and a 4,500 mAh battery with 67 wired charging.
The Limited Edition Xiaomi Civi 3 Disney 100th Anniversary is offered in 12+512 configuration and sells for 2,899 yuan (about US$407).
Xiaomi’s collab with Disney for its 100th anniversary does not stop at the phone. It also includes Xiaomi Band 8, Xiaomi TWS noise canceling earbuds 3, Xiaomi 10000 mAh power bank, and a 20-inch Mijia suitcase – all featuring the same theme as the phone’s back cover. There is also an exclusive Disney 100 phone case featuring Goofy, Mickey, and Minnie, going for 99 yuan (around US$13.90).
