Bluetooth keyboard for iPad is not new but adding another gadget to your iPad also means yet another device to be charged. however, the Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio aims to resolve this issue. yes. it is a Bluetooth keyboard that does not require you to plug it into a wall outlet. it uses the onboard solar cells to charge the built-in Bluetooth keyboard in any light, indoor or outdoor. a fully charged Solar Keyboard Folio is said to last for up to two years, even in complete darkness. that’s one heck of a long lasting battery (based on two hours of usage per day). the case itself offers two standard positioning: one that is suitable for typing and the other suitable for viewing video where the first keyboard row acts as an one-touch media playback and volume controls. the folio also features the instant on/off function where your iPad will automatically wake up when you open the folio and goes to sleep when you close it. unfortunately, the keyboard’s battery only serve to power the integrated Bluetooth keyboard and cannot be use to juice up your iPad but at least it will save you the hassle of needing to charge the keyboard separately. the Logitech Solar Keyboard Folio will be available from this month in both the U.S. and Europe with a price tag of $129.99. hit the jump for a few more look.
