Folks, we are officially in the future. How do we know? Well, because magnets have just ousted zippers on a bag. Meet the MagGo Air, Ultix Outdoors’ latest creation that ditches the more-than-a-century-old zipper for magnets. In fact, it is kind of an Ultix Outdoors kind of thing. It has been using magnets for several years now.

This is not just any magnets; it’s Ultix Outdoors’ signature magnetic connection system that allows for instant, effortless access to the inside of the bag. The boon? Well, it’s obvious. For starters, you get faster access, and more importantly, for the first time, you can enjoy the convenience of seamless, one-handed use—every. single. time. Why do I say every single time? You can do that with a zipper, but it doesn’t always work. You know how it is.
The MagGo Air’s Magnetic Flip Closure is the brand’s next-gen magnetic system, featuring 82 super-strong magnets that ensure secure closure while remaining easy to open. A Magnetic Quick-Release Buckle ensures it remains closed when it’s supposed to, so accidental tugs won’t send your stuff flying. And then there’s the Magnetic Pocket Closure around the back and inside, keeping everything organized as you move. The back pocket is spacious enough for an iPhone, by the way.
Did we mention that the MagGo Air is a 2-in-1 bag? It functions as both a sling bag and a waist bag, adapting to any activity. Though, I have to say, the waist bag mode looks a little off—but that’s just me.

Inside, it boasts a spacious, well-organized interior to maximize storage without unnecessary bulk. It doesn’t have pointless dividers—just what you actually need—allowing you to pack in tech, personal items, and EDC essentials.
There’s a shockproof tech compartment big enough for a Switch, multiple pockets to keep small items organized, a slim but spacious tablet slot (yes, it can fit a small tablet!), and an adaptive space for bulkier stuff.
Last but not least, this bag is built tough. The EVA Front Shield is durable, water-resistant, and impact-proof, protecting against scratches, drops, and the elements. The bag itself is made from PU-coated 900D polyester, which is both durable and water-resistant. Believe it or not, this bag is IP-rated, too. It has an IPX3 water resistance rating.
All told, the MagGo Air measures 30 cm long, 7 cm deep, and 13 cm tall (about 12 by 2.8 by 5.11 inches), offering 2.7L (~91 fl. oz.) of storage. It’s paired with an adjustable shoulder strap that can extend up to 1.45 m (4.8 ft.). If you’re interested, you can secure a unit by making a pledge on the MagGo Air’s Kickstarter campaign for 59 quid or more (~77 USD, according to Kickstarter).
