We finally got our first look at the new Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel TV series. Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel is based on Marvel’s first Muslim superhero Kamala Khan who took on the Ms. Marvel mantle. Khan first appeared in Captain Marvel #14 (August 2013) and subsequently, premiered in her own Ms. Marvel series in 2014.
Marvel has just shared the first official trailer of the new TV series that will start streaming on Disney+ on June 8, 2022.
“Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel is a new, original series that introduces Kamala Khan, a Muslim American teenager growing up in Jersey City. An avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, Kamala is a Super Hero mega-fan with an oversized imagination—particularly when it comes to Captain Marvel. Yet Kamala feels invisible both at home and at school—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life gets better with super powers, right?”
The show stars Canadian actress Iman Vellani as the titular character Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel. Keep going for the said trailer. Marvel Studios’ Ms. Marvel is one of the newest superheroes to join Marvel Studios’ growing list of TV series that include WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, What If…?, and Hawkeye. It will be joined by Moon Knight in March and She-Hulk later this year.
