When Mercedes-AMG talks about a new dimension of performance, they aren’t joking — and the CONCEPT AMG GT XX proves it’s far more than a flashy four-door. This thing looks like the future, charges like the future, and with over 1,360 horsepower, might just outrun it.

At the heart of the GT XX are three axial flux motors — revolutionary, lightweight, compact, and absurdly powerful. Together, they deliver over 1,000 kilowatts of peak output (or 1,341 mechanical horsepower), which translates to a top speed exceeding 360 kilometres per hour (224 mind-boggling miles per hour). Yes, in a four-door coupe that looks like it rolled straight out of a sci-fi film. It wouldn’t look out of place in the streets of Cyberpunk 2077.
The tech doesn’t stop there. AMG packed it with a high-performance battery system developed from scratch, borrowing from Formula 1 and pushing boundaries with direct-cooled cylindrical cells. The result? It can recharge approximately 400 kilometres (249 miles) of range (WLTP) in just five minutes, which AMG points out is roughly the distance from Affalterbach to Spa-Francorchamps — fitting, considering it’s built for track-level thrills.
It runs on AMG Performance 4MATIC+ fully variable all-wheel drive, backed by over 800 volts of battery voltage and an insane average DC charging power exceeding 850 kilowatts. Measuring 5,204 millimetres long, 1,945 millimetres wide (2,130 with mirrors) and standing just 1,317 millimetres tall, the GT XX doesn’t just slip through the air — it slices it with a drag coefficient of just 0.198 and a frontal area of 2.24 square metres.
Wrapped in sunset beam orange, dripping with active aero, LED tricks, and design cues from AMG’s motorsport icons, the CONCEPT AMG GT XX isn’t here to politely blend in. It’s the hyper-fast, hyper-clever electric future, with proper AMG attitude attached. Hit the jump for a few more looks.
