Mercedes-AMG PureSpeed Exclusive Small Series

Who needs a roof or windshield when you can have raw, unfiltered speed? Mercedes-AMG has taken “feeling the wind in your hair” to a whole new level with the PureSpeed, the first creation in their exclusive Mythos series. Unveiled at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, this two-seater rocket embraces radical open-air design and pays homage to Mercedes’ storied racing heritage.

The PureSpeed is all drama—starting with its shark-nosed, Formula 1-inspired front end, complete with a HALO system in place of an A-pillar. Forget subtlety; this ride screams its intentions with exposed carbon fiber, muscular wheel arches, and 21-inch forged aluminum wheels that look like they just clocked out from a racetrack. The cherry on top? A Silver Arrow paint job that makes it shimmer like a speed demon straight out of a fever dream.

Inside, the PureSpeed is as much about style as it is about speed. AMG Performance seats, leather-wrapped details, and a custom IWC Schaffhausen clock scream luxury, while helmets with built-in intercom systems add a splash of practicality for when you’re hurtling along at its top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph). Don’t worry about wind turbulence either—Mercedes’ aerodynamic wizardry ensures you’ll stay in control even when you’re defying it.

Under the hood, an AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine delivers 585 horsepower and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque. The very angry engine is paired to an AMG Speedshift MCT 9G that enables it to rocket from naught to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in 3.6 seconds, sending on its way to a top speed of 315 km/h (about 196 mph). I can even feel the exhilaration just by talking about the specs. I bet it’d be a sensory overload when you actually put the pedal to the metal with this ride.

That’s just the raw power. On the handling department, active rear-axle steering, semi-active hydraulic roll stabilization, and a ceramic composite braking system work together to keep all that power grounded, even when you’re carving up winding roads like a Thanksgiving turkey.

With production capped at just 250 units, the PureSpeed isn’t just a car—it’s a collector’s item. As for the price, we have no idea. I believe it is still to be advised at this point. But never mind the price. You can learn more about this beautiful ride HERE first.
