never have we imagine ourselves featuring knitting kits but here it is, our first post introducing you to this ultra limited edition knitting, a result of the sweet matrimony between Munich-based automaker MINI and lifestyle knitting label Wool and the Gang. yes, you heard right – that’s the carmaker MINI and no, you won’t find knitted upholstery in the new MINI cars but as the product name implies it is but a knitting kit with the wool sporting a special deep shade of blue, known as the True Blue Metallic which is available only for the MINI Countryman. for a rather pricey €75 or roughly US$96, you get two balls of 100 percent Peruvian “crazy sexy wool”, one pair of 15 mm knitting needles, a sewing needle, care instructions, a Lula Hoop scarf pattern (in this case, mark as for “beginner”) and a special sew-on badge bearing the MINI/Woo and the Gang cooperation’s logo for topping the knitted scarf when you are done. the MINI x Woo and the Gang Knitting Kit or the MINI x WATG Lula Hoop, as it is officially called, is available now via Wool and the Gang online shop.
