Now, this is something that should have been done for a long time, but I guess it is better late than never. What you got here is a NERF Rival Apollo XV-700 Blaster-inspired by the intergalactic bounty hunter Boba Fett, specifically, from the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront II video game. Produced by U.S. video game chain, GameStop, this special edition NERF blaster comes draped in the colors of the infamous mercenary’s armor and with appropriate ‘worn’ effects that makes the otherwise run-of-the-mill NERF Rival Apollo XV-700 Blaster look strikingly different and if I may say so, a little more attractive. At least it is over the stock pinkish red and blue variety.
It even comes with a mask too, in matching colorways, naturally, so you can truly immerse in the world of bounty hunting in the (imaginary) galaxy far, far away, and also protect your eyes and face from the assault of incoming foam balls. Unfortunately, it will be just a mask, not Boba’s iconic helmet as fans would have loved. If it was the helmet, it will be totally dope. Then again, it will probably cost even more, like way more, because as it is, you are expected to shell out $89.99 for the blaster/mask combo and that’s like a hefty 70 bucks premium over a standard issue.
Whether or not it is worth the money, we will let you be the judge. If you are undaunted by the sticker, you can pre-order it at GameStop web store. NERF Rival Apollo XV-700 Star Wars Mandalorian Edition Blaster is expected to be available this fall, starting November 17, 2017, along with the much anticipated video game title Star Wars: Battlefront II.
