The thing with any sequel is, if it takes too long to make and hit the screen, it loses its appeal. More so if the show’s or movie’s key actors were children. Man, their growth is exponential! The childish demeanor and behavior, you know, like the screams, the conversation that goes with the face of a child, are kind of the essence of the show.
In case you have not gotten it, we are talking about Netflix’s Stranger Things. It has been nearly 3 years since Stranger Things 3 concluded. And while 3 years is nothing much for a grown person, appearance-wise, it very much is for the appearance of the kids.
That said, yes, the day of Stranger Things 4 is finally upon us, and also yes, the original gang of Eleven, Will Byers, Dustin Henderson, Lucas Sinclair, and Mike Wheeler have grown tremendously, physically speaking. Man, have you seen Wheeler and Sinclair? They have practically grown men!
What’s even more disturbing is that season 4 apparently takes place six months (!) after the Battle of Starcourt that led to the destruction of Hawkins. The kids are just turning from middle school monster killers to high schoolers monster hunters (who looked like college students).
Anyways, Netflix has just dropped the official trailer for Stranger Things 4 and it looks awfully mysterious and complicated. Ignoring the fact that Wheeler is now a grown-up (and so is Sinclair), it looks like it is going to be the ride of a lifetime for viewers.
Season 4 will likely offer a conclusion to the Upside Down. Fingers crossed that it will be epic. Man, how the kids have grown. There I go again. I got to stop! Ugh. Skip ahead for the epic official trailer.
