New Samsung TVs Unveiled CES 2020

For those who are looking to upgrade their TV, January couldn’t be the most appropriate time to research and perhaps, shortlist a couple of candidates. You have have seen what LG and Sony has to offer (and possibly others too), and now, here’s what Samsung has planned for you and your wallet.

Samsung has brought to CES 2020, a new lineup of MicroLED, QLED 8K and Lifestyle TVs. The lineup includes new display sizes, 8K AI upscaling capabilities, and more. Bezel haters will want to take a look at the MicroLED lineup – especially the new 88- and 150-inch MicroLED models featuring ultra-slim infinity designs that has crazy, almost-not-there bezels.

For the those ridiculously rich, you can also acquire several MicroLED panels and connect them together. Well, Samsung is presenting the option because, that’s what rich people do, right?

Then, there’s the 2020 8K QLED lineup, featuring AI Quantum Processor 8K, eye-watering 8K picture quality, and surround-sound audio, in a striking, insanely thin form factor. Leading the charge is the flagship Q950TS with ‘Infinity Screen’ that touts a 99 percent screen-to-body ratio (!???).

The Q950TS also boasts built-in 8K AI upscaling and deep-learning capabilities that can automatically upscale non-8K content (which is a lot at this point, btw) “to pristine and true-to-life 8K resolution.”

Other notables include Adaptive Picture (basically, screen optimization based on ambient and individual images), support AV1 codec, support HDR10+ technology, Q-Symphony, Object Tracking Sound+ (OTS+) and Active Voice Amplifier.

Finally, there’s the Lifestyle TV, which is actually “The Sero” aka vertical TV we saw last year. The millennial-focused TV hit the South Korea market last year and it is set to be available to the rest of the world this year.
