So. This is it. The OnePlus 6T is finally official. While it may not have received as much fanfare like other handset launches, I think it is a phone to look out for. OnePlus‘ newest flagship is almost all-screen with the exception of the waterdrop notch and it has no fingerprint sensor that will mar the beautiful glass back cos’ it has an in-display fingerprint sensor.
Not only OnePlus has adopted the in-display fingerprint sensor, it claims that its iteration of this soon-to-be-a-norm in-display fingerprint sensor is the “fastest in-display fingerprint sensor on any smartphone.” Before we dive into its key specs, you ought to know the 6T is a small upgrade to the 6 introduced not too long ago. There is a reason it is a 6T, not 7.
Other key highlights include a 6.41-inch FHD+ Optic AMOLED display, 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 6, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform, up to 8 GB LPDDR4X RAM, up to 256 GB UFS 2.1 2-LANE storage, 16+20 MP dual camera, a 16 MP front-facing camera, dual nano SIM slot, Face unlock, Bluetooth 5.0, and a 3,700 mAh battery Fast Charge support.
Out-of-the-box, the OnePlus 6T will come pre-installed with OxygenOS based on the newest Android OS iteration, Android Pie. OnePlus 6T will be available starting November 1, 2018, priced at $549 and up. So far, only two colors are announced, namely Mirror Black and Midnight Black. Knowing OnePlus, it may roll out other color options, or some special edition.
Then again, if it did, it will probably not be for the U.S. market. Speaking of which… in case you have not noticed, OnePlus 6T is available in the stateside. If you want, you can acquired it from T-Mobile too. Continue reading to find a spec overview of the OnePlus 6T.
