OnePlus is not known for audio quality when it comes to TWS earbuds. But that changes with the new OnePlus Buds Pro 2 TWS Earbuds – thanks to the collaborations with Danish loudspeaker maker Dynaudio.
Now, collaborative in-ear headphones aren’t new. While it usually involves a well-known specialist audio brand “tuning” the drivers, the OnePlus Buds Pro 2 [CH] features a coaxial dual driver system, known as MelodyBoost Dual Drivers, co-created with Dynaudio.
The drivers, which comprise an 11 mm woofer and a 6 mm tweeter, are said to derive from premium speakers and promised to deliver deep thumping bass without the rumbling, and crisp vocals.
The 11 mm driver reproduces deeper, fuller, more textured, and dynamic bass, while the 6 mm driver covers a wide range of sound and ensures pure clear vocals.
The earbuds further feature four equalizers, namely, Default, Bold, Serenade, and Bass, co-tuned with Dynaudio.
The earbuds also tout spatial audio for Android users enabled by OnePlus’ spatial rendering algorithm and a high-precision six-axis IMU sensor that allows for real-time tracking of head movement.
Moreover, the stereo sound source provides a spatial sound rendering effect through a self-developed stereo upmixing algorithm.
Other notables include Smart Adaptive Noise Cancellation, featuring Personalized Noise Cancellation, up to 39 hours of music playback with the case, dual connection, and Bluetooth 5.3 LE audio.
