Opel Rocks e-XTREME & Electric KARGO

Meet the Rolls Royce of quirky quadricycles – the one-off Rocks e-XTREME! It’s like the four-wheeled equivalent of a clown car (and a very cool one at that, if I may add), with wheels that stick out like they’re trying to make a fashion statement. And who can miss the prominent rear wing made of carbon which was borrowed from the Vectra GTS V8? Picture this: double wishbones at the front and a sunny yellow roll bar, because nothing says ‘I’m here to party’ like a bright roll cage!

And then there’s its polar opposite, the Rocks Electric KARGO [NL]. It’s so small that it could probably do a U-turn in your hallway. This pint-sized powerhouse measures just 2.41 meters (7.9 feet) long, 1.39 meters (4.6 feet) wide, and 1.52 meters (5 feet) tall, but don’t be fooled by its size. It’s got more cargo space than your grandma’s attic – over 400 liters (106 gallons) of it!

With a turning circle tighter than your yoga instructor’s best pose at only 7.20 meters (24 feet), this little big guy can outmaneuver a squirrel in a maze. Plus, it’s got an electric range that goes on longer than your uncle’s stories at family gatherings – up to 75 kilometers (47 miles). Perfect for delivering everything from the latest Amazon parcels to piping hot pizzas and life-saving medicines, especially in the concrete jungle we call the city!

The battery can be easily recharged in just 4 hours via an AC household socket, using the 3.0-meter long charging cable that is permanently housed in the vehicle, so you can say “suck it, charging station.” Opel does offer an adapter for charging at a public charging station in case you need to (and pretend you never ever said “suck it, charging station.”).

Like the passenger version, the Opel Rocks-e KARGO’s electric drive has a monstrous peak output of a whopping 9 kW (12 HP) and a slightly tamer continuous power output of 6 kW (8 HP).
