You already know most – if not all – of the details of the upcoming PlayStation VR2 or PSVR 2 for short. Earlier this month, PlayStation offers the newest update on the status of availability.
The new PSVR 2 will arrive on February 22, 2023. Also launching on the same day is the PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station designed specifically for the PS VR2 Sense controller.
For those who don’t already know, here’s a quick rundown of the key features of the next-generation PSVR:
- 4K HDR display
- 2x 2,000 by 2,040 OLED displays
- 110° Field of View
- Eye-tracking
- Foveated rendering
- Tempest 3D audiotech
- Headset-based controller tracking
- Embedded front cameras for see-through view
- Customizable play area with boundary warning
The PlayStation VR2 has a recommended retail price of US$549.99. The set includes the PS VR2 headset, PS VR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones.
Also launching is a US$599.99 PlayStation VR2 Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle which includes a PlayStation Store voucher code for Horizon Call of the Mountain, PS VR2 headset, PS VR2 Sense controllers, and stereo headphones. The packaging will rock the game’s artwork.
The optional PlayStation VR2 Sense controller charging station will be available on the same day for US$49.99 (RRP). U.S. customers can register for an exclusive invite to pre-order PS VR2 HERE.
