Porsche eBike Cross Electric Bicycle

You may have noticed that the marketing photos of the new Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo did feature a couple of bicycles. Well, those bicycles are Porsche electric bicycles and they were introduced to complement Porsche newly revealed off-road electric vehicle.

Porsche eBike Sport and eBike Cross Electric Bicycles

The eBikes, namely, Porsche eBike Sport and Porsche eBike Cross, feature full-suspension carbon frame with an organic shape inspired by, you guessed it, the lines of the Porsche Taycan. The Sport is aimed at everyday riding while the Cross is designed for rough terrain (read: electric mountain bike).

The eBikes are powered by the latest-generation Shimano motor, the power and ultra-compact Shimano EP8 motor, and further boast Magura high-performance brakes, aerodynamic seat post, M99 LED lights from Supernova integrated into the handlebar, and Magura upside-down suspension fork and Fox rear shock absorber.

The motor provides support up to 25 km/h (15.5 mph) while Shimano electric gear shifting system enables fast gear changes according to your needs and the terrain.

Both bikes are developed in collaboration with eBike specialist Rotwild and are produced in Dieburg, Germany.

The new Porsche eBike Sport and eBike Cross Electric Bicycles will be available at Porsche Online Shop as well as at select specialist bicycle dealers in Spring March 2021.

They will be offered in three frame sizes, S (about 1.56m-1.70m), M (about 1.68m-1.82m) and L (about 1.80m-1 94m).

Naturally, they don’t come cheap. Expect to drop €9,990 (roughly US$11,883) for the Sport and €7,990 (or around US$9,502) for the Cross. Meanwhile, interested parties who can’t hardly wait can get in touch with your local Porsche dealer for availability and pricing.
