Just how smart can a pillow gets? Or rather, can a pillow ever be smart to begin with? Well, apparently, it can get really, really smart. Smart beyond the usual sleep monitoring, snore-stopping; it can even turn on lights and makes you coffee the moment you wake up. Believe it or not, those (and more) are what the ZEEQ IFTTT Smart Pillow by REM-Fit can do.
To cut long story short, this is a very high-tech pillow that features wireless audio streaming, built-in microphone, partner-friendly alarm, sleep motion detection, music sleep timer, snore alarm, and it can of course, analyze your sleep. When ZEEQ detects snoring, it gently vibrates to (hopefully) get you to unconsciously change position and (again hopefully) stop snoring.
As weird as it may sound, this pillow also touts eight (!) built-in Bluetooth speakers with binaural audio wave technology for streaming music, audiobooks, podcasts, TV and whatnot, so you can be coaxed to sleep like a little child. Sensors and built-in microphone monitors your sleep, makes sense of the data and presents them to you in a companion app.
But those are not even the craziest idea; the craziest concept is possibly the IFTTT (If This Then That) integration that it also touts. With IFTTT you can set up the ZEEQ to brew your coffee, turn on the bedroom lights and the TV and more when you wake up. Similarly, you can set it to turn off lights and lock your doors when you go sleep. The application is nearly limitless. It even works with Amazon Alexa, allowing it to communicate with various other smart devices in your home.
Just in case you are wondering, yes, it is pillow that we are talking about. It is insane to think that a pillow can do so much more than a rest place for our head, isn’t it? Speaking of which, as a pillow, the aforementioned tech are sandwiched between adjustable comfort fill, comfort foam outer shell and finally rounding up with a removable and washable Tencel cover.
ZEEQ is powered by an internal battery that is good for up to two weeks of use per charge. So, yeah, the future of pillow also means the need for charging. Seriously, with all those features, I can’t help but to think that ZEEQ is indeed the pillow of the future, but one which you can pick up today.
