Robosen Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 Flagship
Inspired by Optimus Prime's unforgettable death in The Transformers: The Movie, Robosen's latest auto-converting robot brings the fallen Autobot leader back with movie-accurate deco, Peter Cullen's voice, and full robotic transformation.

When Optimus Prime died in 1986’s The Transformers: The Movie, he turned grey, never to be resurrected again—or so we thought. Strangely, in Season 3 of the animated series, he was found floating in space aboard a spaceship and not grey like a dead Optimus Prime. He remained lifeless but, for some reason, had his colors back. Perhaps the Autobots also had a mortuary cosmetologist?

Anyhoo, never mind that a dead Optimus Prime cannot walk, let alone transform, because we now have the Fallen Optimus Prime, all in his grey glory, as an auto-converting robot from Robosen.

Robosen has taken its flagship auto-converting G1 Optimus Prime and given it a fresh coat of grey paint to resemble the deceased Autobot leader. However, the Robosen Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 Flagship is far from dead. As long as you are in control and he is properly charged up with Energon—no, wait, I mean the battery is fully charged—you can get him to do the usual Robosen robot stuff. You know. Talk, walk, transform, perform actions, and more.

The Robosen Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 Flagship auto-converting toy is being released as part of the Transformers 40th anniversary celebration. Well, what a way to celebrate by rubbing salt into the wound, right, Hasbro?

Jokes aside, it is not a must-have, but if you are a completionist who already owns the original color version and the gold-painted version, and/or someone who still cannot get over the fact that Optimus Prime had to die back in the ’80s, this is the golden opportunity for you to play God—or, well, the Quintessons, the creators of Optimus Prime in the original G1 animated series.

Key features of this walking dead (or rolling dead) Prime include “flagship-grade” fully auto-converting robot and vehicle modes, battle-worn movie-accurate deco, the original G1 voice by Peter Cullen, an app-controlled real-time interaction system, and, last but not least, five programming modes and a Mini Theater featuring Megatron or Bumblebee.

The auto-converting toy comes with an exclusive signature weapon, the Matrix of Leadership, a limited-edition collector’s coin, and exclusive commemorative packaging.

The Robosen Fallen Leader Optimus Prime G1 Flagship has an MSRP of US$1,399, but for now, it is on sale for US$999. Only 1,000 units are available in North America, with shipping scheduled to begin sometime in December 2026. The first 1,000 preorders will also receive a free Robosen Coaster. This early-bird offer ends on August 25, 2026.
